NEW!!!”S’mores N More: Dessert Nights” focused on CELEBRATION, CONNECTIONS & REVEALING THE FUTURE of Kwasind is coming Spring 2027!

WHITE THE SUN HAS NEEDED TO SET ON  OUR “S’MORES N’ MORE“ EVENT ON NOV 14, SOMETHING NEW IS EMERGING THAT YOU’LL WANT TO READ ABOUT BELOW… THE SUN IS RISING THIS SPRING, ON A NEW WAY TO BETTER STEWARD OUR RESOURCES, MAKE CELEBRATING KWASIND’S STORY MORE ACCESSIBLE, AND BE ABLE TO CONNECT MORE PEOPLE TO THE EXPERIENCE OF KWASIND!

Camp Kwasind is having such an incredible impact on the lives of campers and raising up young leaders, with much to be celebrated from this last year along with some exciting developments coming to Kwasind to be shared. Initially, the plan was for this to be shared on Nov 14th at the upcoming “S’mores N’ More” celebration & fundraising event in Oakville.

We are grateful for all those who have offered to sponsor a table or have purchased a ticket. However, we are in a place that with the event date fast approaching and our commitment to steward the dollars well, all of which are donate towards Kwasind for such a gathering, that a change to our plans was needed.

With the Kwasind community being so spread out geographically, we’ve heard that there is a desire to only have a centralized celebration & fundraising experience occur every 5 years, on the major anniversaries. It was also expressed that between those years, to make a more locally accessible and fiscally wise alternative to ensure we have ways to celebrate Kwasind and invest into this impactful ministry.

Therefore, we will no longer host the centralized “S’mores N’ More” dinner event in Oakville on Nov 14, 2026, but we will be launching smaller locally accessible in-home  “S’mores N’ More: Dessert Nights” coming Spring 2027!

ABOUT S’MORES N MORE:DESSERT NIGHTS:

This spring, we will be launching “S’mores N’ More: Dessert Night Edition!”

These dessert nights will intentionally be small gatherings in homes hosted by individuals who want to invite their friends & Kwasind alumni, to gather for an evening that will celebrate the ministry of Kwasind, enjoy memorable desserts (provided by Kwasind), and get to connect and network with one another. The evening will end with the chance to get up close and personal with the leadership of Camp Kwasind to hear more about the future of things coming for camp.

This new endeavour will ensure we better steward our resources and are able to connect across a larger geographical area.

If you’re interested in finding out more about hosting one of these nights this spring you can reach out to matt@kwasind.com
