MISSION:

To consistently provide a high quality, creative, safe and memorable experience through meaningful relationships which moves every camper one step closer to Jesus, while being the most competitively affordable Christian Summer Camp in the Muskoka area.

PURPOSE:

At Camp Kwasind, we seek to cultivate, develop and nurture leadership, character, confidence and the Christian faith in the lives of campers and staff through effective and meaningful relationships and programs in a safe, creative and natural environment.  It is our aim to be a living demonstration of God’s love, which is demonstrated through our care for all of creation, providing quality programming, and the intentional reaching out to those on their way to God as we live as a community of faith.

PHILOSOPHY:

As camp leaders, we seek to live and serve as Jesus did while he was on this earth.  To do this, we are committing to treating people as whole persons.  Just as Jesus did not compartmentalize a person’s spiritual needs from his physical, emotional, social, and intellectual life, neither do we.  When we look at a camper we see a child of God created in God’s image.  We recognize that God is active during all times of the day and night at camp.  Whether canoeing, or playing ball, or participating in a Bible Study time, God is there and is bringing about spiritual transformation. As leaders, we become a living demonstration of the message of Jesus to the campers which needs to be demonstrated in the way that we work, play, speak and live together in community at Camp Kwasind.
