2020 Kwasind Spring Work Weekend
It’s almost time for our SPRING WORK WEEKEND and we need to know who is coming!
SPECIAL NOTE: In light of our current situation with the COVID19 pandemic, Spring Work Weekend may need to be delayed or done over multiple weekends with smaller teams of people (we may have to get creative)! The staff team of Kwasind is closely monitoring the directives from our government, township and public health authorities to determine what will happen with Work Weekend. It is our aim to be able to make the call about Work Weekend by mid-April, but are needing to know asap, who potentially could be available to help us out if indeed we are able to go to Kwasind this spring (which is currently a closed property as it is not deemed “essential” business).
After a record-breaking number of campers in summer 2019, it comes that time that we need to prepare camps property and facilities for another great season of Spring Rentals and a packed out Summer Camp for 2020.
This is a great weekend of supporting camp, being with staff & alumni (and some campers). We will all be coming together to volunteer to ensure that our camp property is clean and tidy for our guests and campers. There is lots to do – everything from reconnecting our water system, installing our docks, preparing cabins, organizing and cleaning up camp, setting up our lodge and dining hall and much more.
We can’t open camp without you – so please plan to join us at Camp Kwasind for the entire weekend or even just the day on Saturday to help get everything done. All ages and skill sets are welcome – we have jobs for everyone!
